Egnitus® contains the active compounds cyclanilide and mepiquat, which regulate important plant hormones to control vegetative growth and plant height in cotton crops. This controlled growth results in better fruiting and boll retention, leading to increased yields.

Egnitus® acts in two ways through its active ingredients, cyclanilide and mepiquat. Firstly, cyclanilide acts as an auxin transport inhibitor, preventing auxin from entering the abscission zone.
