Bayer, a global company working in agriculture and healthcare, has launched a new social initiative called “NATIVO® – Make Them Shine.” This campaign aims to create new learning opportunities for children living in India’s farming communities. The idea behind the program is simple — every child deserves a chance to discover their abilities and build a bright future
For more than 15 years, NATIVO®, Bayer’s well-known fungicide brand, has supported Indian farmers by protecting their crops and helping them achieve strong, shining harvests. With the “Make Them Shine” campaign, the brand goes one step further — from helping crops shine to helping children shine.
A part of the earnings from every pack of Nativo will now support children’s education and help them develop skills for a better, more confident future.
As technology continues to transform the world, agriculture is also changing rapidly. Many young people in rural India have great talent and curiosity, but they often lack access to learning experiences that help them understand their strengths and dreams.
“Make Them Shine” aims to fill this gap. The program helps children build:
• Confidence
• Curiosity
• Creative and critical thinking skills
• Leadership skills
Overall, it prepares them to dream big and grow into stronger, more capable individuals.
The initiative is being conducted at Protovillage, in partnership with Integreater Foundation, an organization working to build strong, self-reliant rural communities.
The first batch welcomes 100 rural children, who will take part in a structured two-week immersive learning program. The curriculum focuses on:
1. Building inner strength – Activities like yoga, connection exercises, and self-awareness sessions.
2. Hands-on learning – Practical STEM activities linked to real-life topics such as farming, ecology, and entrepreneurship.
3. Developing confidence and leadership – Through sports like skateboarding, which help children express themselves, build resilience, and think creatively.
Children who perform exceptionally well will be recognized at the Protovillage Annual Festival, celebrated with the entire community.
Nativo has a strong presence in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, with long-term relationships with rice-growing farmers. The “Make Them Shine” initiative deepens this connection. Every purchase of Nativo not only protects crops but also directly contributes to a child's learning journey.
