Research suggests that whitefly acquires virus within 30 minutes of feeding on affected hosts and transmits the virus after 15-30 minutes of feeding on new plants. This insect can be caused as a vector for 10-12 days and throughout the life of the insect.
As per the farmers' experience, for better control of Whiteflies and Jassids, apply Solomon, Movento OD and Trance. Before applying, Please check the product label for proper usage in different crops.

1.Start with resistant cultivars and virus/vector-free transplants. 2.Protect young plants in open fields using row covers or nets. Remove and destroy infected plants through rouging and insect vector management. 3.Apply recommended insecticides to manage vectors like whiteflies and leafhoppers. 4.Rotate crops by not growing the same crop for 2-3 months to reduce infestation. 5.Adopt Integrated Pest Management (IPM) based on the biology and ecology of the virus, vector, and crop production system.
